In November 2006 the report “Hiding from Society; Situation of Sex Workers in Lithuania: Evaluation and Recommendations” was published by the Coalition I Can Live. The study is a result of a qualitative research of sex workers’ issues that the Coalition undertook together with the Vilnius Substance Abuse Center. The report lists problems sex workers in Lithuania face regarding their human rights and health issues. It provides recommendations to policy makers, law-enforcement institutions, social and health care sectors’ workers, education sector representatives, and civil society groups advocating for sex workers. The study is being presented in November and December at public discussions in the major Lithuanian cities.
